CDA INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Part-time High School or College Intern to assist the Executive Director 

CDA seeks an enthusiastic student with a passion for ballet who is interested in becoming a leader in dance education. Our Intern will assist in general operations and marketing, and help us understand what young people are concerned about today. He/she will learn about arts administration/marketing, and will be given school credit if needed. Internship is for one Semester, three to nine hours per week, depending on availability.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Classical Dance (Ballet) and high level of academic achievement

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to write

  • Ability to work with others in the Classical Dance Community

  • Provide calendar and event assistance to the Executive Director

  • Correspond with people interested in participating in Classical Dance Alliance

  • Identify and write about interesting topics of concern young people have about classical dance today

  • Maintain and refresh social media content on all platforms

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe)

As an unpaid CDA Intern, you will

  • Work with administrators and receive hands-on-training in arts administration​

  • Obtain credit for hours worked provided CDA can arrange it with your educational institution 

  • Earn enrollment in the First Class Teacher's Course (50 hours)
